Phillip Lynn Locklear

Phillip Lynn Locklear, age 54, passed away on October 16, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 3:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Earl Henderson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born on September 20, 1971, in Scotland County, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Julia Locklear.

Phillip's personality was anything but ordinary. He was the life of the party, a jokester with a good heart who loved to carry on a good conversation. He had a profound love for the outdoors, enjoying every opportunity to fish and hunt.

He is survived by his siblings, Marion Locklear (Holly) of Greensboro, Jackie Thomas (Adam). and Snapper Locklear (Misty), both of Laurinburg; and his nieces and nephews, Courtney (Ty), Brittany (Miles), Katelyn (Austin), Emily, and Logan.

Along with his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his second sister, Shelly Locklear.

A visitation will be held at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Phillip leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.
