Peggy (Tucker) Smith

Peggy Tucker Smith, age 86, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Morrison Manor.

Services will be private.

She was born April 16, 1935 in Chester County, SC to the late George Epps and Blanche Leggett Tucker.  She was a Teacher’s Assistant with the Scotland County Schools for 30 plus years.

She is survived by her daughter, Nina Sawyer and her husband, Charles of Jefferson, SC; her sister, Tecora Steen and her husband, Lynn of Hideaway, TX; her grandson, Daniel Lawrence Sawyer and his wife, Amanda of Harrisonburg, VA; her great grandson, Fenwick Charles Sawyer of Harrisonburg, and one great granddaughter, Charlotte Mable Sawyer of Harrisonburg, VA.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lawrence Henry Smith and her son, Lawrence H. Smith, III.
