Mrs. Peggy Ikner Scott, 56, of 123 Oakleaf Dr. and formerly of Laurinburg died Thursday, July 26 at her home.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel, Laurinburg officiated by the Revs. Phil Huber, Joe Wilkes, and Freddie Jenkins. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband, Ray D. Scott; three sons, Doug Ikner of Cordova, Ken Ikner of Clinton, and Chad Lewis of Hamlet; a daughter, Betty Ann Masker of East Bend; a step-son, Michael Scott of Rockingham; a step-daughter, Beverly Pate of Gibson; a brother, Walter "Zeke" Ikner, Jr. of Hoke County; two sisters, Betty Jean Reville of Laurinburg and Emma Hodges of Hamlet; five grandchildren, Betty Danielle Ikner, Timothy Morgan Jenkins, Brannon Lee Ikner, Elizabeth Grace Masker, and Jessica Lynn Masker.
Born August 29, 1950 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the later Walter Z. and Betty Thompson Ikner. Peggy was a beautician in Laurinburg for 11 years and was the owner and operator of Hair Loft Beauty Salon. Most recently she was in quality control for Burlington Industries/ITG in Cordova.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
