Peggy Moody Medlin

Peggy Medlin, age 88, passed away on October 25, 2025, at Firsthealth Moore Regional Hospital.

She was born on May 7, 1937, in Marion, South Carolina, to the late Walter Monroe and Grace Taylor Moody.

Alongside her career as a teacher, Peggy found joy in various hobbies. She cherished the simple pleasures of life, including reading, gardening, and enjoying the peacefulness of the beach. However, the greatest joy in her life was the time spent with her family, particularly her great-grandchild. She was a member of Laurinburg Presbyterian Church.

Peggy is survived by her grandson, James Michael Medlin (Tabatha Johnson); granddaughter, Beverly Medlin, both of Laurinburg; and great-granddaughter, Hunter Medlin.

She is preceded in death, along with her parents; her husband, James H. Medlin, Sr.; son, James H. Medlin, Jr.; and brother, Bud Moody.

Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium is assisting the Medlin family.
