Paul Hinton Sheryn, 72, of Troy passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026 at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill.

At Paul’s request, there will be no public service.

Born January 5, 1954, in Barry, United Kingdom, he was a son of the late John and Dorothy Weeks Sheryn. While living in the United Kingdom as a young man, Paul was employed in a local governmental office. When he moved to the United States, Paul was later employed at McRae’s Industries in the shipping department. Paul enjoyed working in the yard, playing golf, and providing for his family.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Candy Blue Sheryn of the home; daughter, Kadie Spencer of Midland; son, Nicholas Spencer of Troy; sister, Paulette Robbins (Gary) of Barry, Wales; brother, Carl Sheryn (Tina) of Chippenham, Cotswold England; He is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Sheryn.
