Mrs. Pattie Sue McLellan "Rice" West, 76, died March 10, 2017 at Morrison Manor.
She was born March 19, 1941 to the late Tristan Stebbin and Deamie Barfield McLellan. Pattie had worked as a realtor with Johnson Brother’s Realty and Construction and was a charter member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband Curt West.
Pattie loved her family and friends and her church family at St. Luke United Methodist Church. She loved the beach, her flower garden, birds, eating out, shopping and traveling. She would give the shirt off her back to help any and everyone.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughters, Sharon Rice Maag of Laurinburg, Susan Covington of Matthews, Cathy Rice Cantwell of McColl, SC, & Jackie Rice Bullard (Windle) of Lumberton; grandchildren, Shuler Goodwin “Gib” Peele, III (Annie), of Laurinburg, Amy Covington Hester (Andy) of Carolina Beach, Genevieve “Gena” Covington Webb (Evan) of Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada, Kristen McLellan Covington of Hayward, CA, Brittany Soles of Raleigh, Jimmy Cantwell and Jacqueline Cantwell, both of Ft. Carson, CO; great grandchildren, Connor & Kenley Peele of Laurinburg, Maddie & Olivia Hester of Carolina Beach; and a special friend, Foster Harding.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at St. Luke United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Billy Olsen. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be private at a later date.
