Monroe
Patrician Ann Lamb Stubbs, 70, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, September 5, 2012. She had been a resident of the Jesse Helms Nursing Center in Monroe for 5 years where her daughter could better assist in her daily care.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Cemetery, Maxton officiated by the Rev. Dr. Thomas Marshall. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium, Laurinburg.
She is survived by her children, Linda Grundin Edwards-Caulder (Clyde) of Monroe and John Phillip Grundin (Connie) of St. Louis, MO; her siblings, Betty L. Faulk, Dewey Lamb, and Kathy Lamb all of Laurinburg, her grandchildren, Brittany, Meghan, and Rebecca Edwards of Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Blanche Lamb and her husband, Roy Blue Stubbs.
Pat was a warm, caring person who loved our Lord dearly, and loved her family and friends closely. Her sense of humor and gentle laughter will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. Pat's greatest accomplishment, perhaps, was that of being a mother. Her children adored her, and she raised them with a sense of humor, laughter, loving discipline, humility, and taught them to reach out to others. She had a heart of gold and was a very compassionate person who helped everyone she could. She always saw the best in everyone.
