Patricia Ann Jones

Patricia Ann Jones, 80, passed away on June 4, 2014. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 4, 1934. She graduated from St. Ursula Academy and later married Philip D. Jones on May 12, 1956.

She was a homemaker in Toledo, and Perrysburg, Ohio, a devoted mother and wife throughout her entire life.

In 1979 she moved to Laurinburg from Perrysburg. In Laurinburg she was active in St Mary Catholic Church, Meals on Wheels, and as a longtime volunteer at Scotland Memorial Hospital. She was also a member and past historian of the Cottonland Garden Club, and enjoyed traveling with her husband of 58 years to Europe, Russia, Mexico, and many US National Parks. She was an excellent cook, floral arranger, and gardener, loved photographs and mementos of her family and travels.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Jones, her son, Tech. Sgt. Victor James Jones, and her mother Viola Bellner Kneese.

She is survived by her daughter, Christiana Marie Jones-Ellis and son-in-law, Roger Allan Ellis of El Paso, TX; her beloved French Poodle, Chance; her granddaughter, Sara Marie Jones of California; great-granddaughter, McKayla Jones of California; brother, James Kneese and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kneese, sister-in-law, Rosemary Lee Blaylock and husband, James Blaylock of Tennessee; nephews and nieces, James. F. Blaylock, Jeanne Wells, Margie Joens, Ricky Kneese, Sharon Wehman, and Julie Kneese.

A wake will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church followed by burial in Hillside Memorial Park.
