Ret. Col. Otis Washington Welch, 90, of Scotia Village died Saturday, September 2, at Scotia Village.
A graveside service with full military rites will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Scotland Cemetery. A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at the Argyll Room at Scotia Village officiated by the Rev. Dr. Tom Dendy. A visitation will follow the memorial service.
He is survived by his wife, Susie; two sons, David Welch of Stoney Brook, NY and Craig Welch of San Francisco, CA; a sister, Nannie Belle Nelson of Junction City, Arkansas; 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Edith Alexander Welch.
Born June 5, 1910 in Junction City, Arkansas, he was a son of the late John and Lorzy S. Welch. He was a retired chaplain in the US Army and a retired Presbyterian minister. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason.
