Ora Pearl (Blair) Hopkins

Ora Pearl Hopkins, 89, of Laurinburg, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Born June 27, 1929 in Pike County, KY, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Celesta Sanders Blair. She retired from Abbott Laboratories after many years of service. She enjoyed sewing, music, traveling, drinking coffee and watching old movies on her favorite channel, TCM. Most of all, she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, John Keven Hopkins(June) of Laurinburg; daughter, Rhonda Ward (Jimmy) of Fuquay-Varina; sister, Faye Akers (Johnny) of Campton, KY; grandchildren, Amie Graham (Randall) of Holly Springs, Jennifer Hopkins (Kelly Briggs) and John K. Hopkins II, both of Laurinburg; and great grandchildren, Thomas Hunter Hopkins, Isabella Marie Hopkins and one on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Hopkins, daughter, Frances Ann Orme; sister, Annie Damron; brothers, Gary Blair and Lester Blair; and grandchildren, Terry and John Orme.
