Mrs. Olive Kimbrough Bobbitt, 79, of Scotia Village died Saturday, December 14, at Scotia Village.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church officiated by the Revs, Jerry Lowry and Woody Pierce. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

She is survived by her son, Dick Bobbitt and wife, Denise of Laurinburg; a brother, Gaines Kimbrough of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Lindsey Oliver, Davis Oliver, Richard Bobbitt, and Hannah Bobbitt of Laurinburg.

Mrs. Bobbitt was a graduate of UNC-Greensboro and held several degrees. For over 30 years she taught math, science, and home economics at several schools in Scotland County. An active member of the First United Methodist Church, she was a member of the JOY Club, the Betsy Sanford Sunday school class, and was also active in SAILL.
