Randy Harris Morris

Randy Harris Morris, 70, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Levine Cancer Institute in Albemarle.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 4:00 PM at Macedonia United Methodist Church in Eldorado with Rev. Jesse Clubb and Rev. William Saunders officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM prior to the service in the church.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Randy was born on November 16, in 1948 in Montgomery County to the late Fred Hoyt and Racie Harris Morris. He was a 1968 graduate of West Montgomery High School and a lifelong member of Macedonia Methodist Church.  He was a supervisor in the construction business from which he retired.  He enjoyed music and cars, especially street rods.  He never met a stranger.

Randy is predeceased by his first wife, Katherine Smith Morris and his sister, Billie Rose Smith. 

He is survived by his wife Lois Harris of the home; one daughter, Heather M. Jones, and husband John, of Eldorado; a brother, Jack Morris, and wife Louise, of Eldorado; his father-in-law, Nelson Smith, of Mt. Gilead; mother-in-law, Dortha Cave, of Troy; step-son, Tad Russell, and wife Claudette, of Troy; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and sisters and brothers-in-law which he thought of as his own family.
