Norman Michael Odom, 66, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hillside Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Richard Tyson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda McFadyen Odom of the home; two daughters, Amy Hilburn (Billy) and Stephanie Skipper (Chris) all of Laurinburg; a brother, Jimmy Odom of Laurel Hill; a sister, Winifred "Tink" Ward of Laurinburg; his grandchildren, Kenneth McDonald Jr. (Tamara Parker), Riley Byrd, Gabriel Skipper, Braylee Skipper; his great grandchildren, Ansley DePiero and Kayden McDonald; and a special childhood friend, Joyce Grooms of Laurinburg.
Born April 13, 1949 in Bennettsville, S.C., he was a son of the late Norman Lewis and Christine Glover Odom. He worked as a salesman for Electrical Equipment Company and retired with over 40 years of service. He was a member of East Laurinburg Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and enjoyed working in his garden and yard and loved his sports.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
