Nathan Duane (Nick) Rogers
May 4, 1942 — July 17, 2015
Nathan D. "Nick" Rogers, 73, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 17, 2015. Nick loved his family and friends. His outgoing personality endeared him to many. He was the grounds supervisor at St. Andrews College for 30 years and also landscaped many of the beautiful homes in Pinehurst and the surrounding area. He was a talented pianist and loved playing and singing with his friends, especially Gospel music.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Neri "Sunny" Rogers; his sons, Mark Rogers of Laurel Hill and Anthony Rogers of Lindhurst, NJ; his sister, Judith R. Aiken (Gene) of Raleigh; his step-daughter, Josette Bonner of Las Vegas, NV.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Casper T. and Hazel Spence Rogers; two brothers, Leonard Allen Rogers and Donald D. Rogers; two sisters, Jean R. Perry and Faith R. Manning.
A memorial service will be held at North Laurinburg Baptist Church, 517 Lee's Mill Road, Laurinburg, NC at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Family will be at the Rogers' home immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Scotland County, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353 or North Laurinburg Baptist Church, 517 Lee's Mill Road, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
