Nancy "Shorty" Weiss Dorsett

Nancy “Shorty” Weiss Dorsett, 86, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at her residence.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Born June 14, 1937, in Radford County, VA, she was a daughter of the late John and Lucill Weiss. Nancy never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to people. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Tewmey of Albemarle; son, Lawrence Dorsett of Troy; brothers, Leon Weiss of Level Cross and Mark Weiss of Davidson County; sister, Coretta Weiss of Davidson County; and four grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Weiss and Eddie Weiss.
