Myrtle Boysworth Watson

Mrs. Myrtle McRae Boysworth Watson, 82, formerly of Maxton, North Carolina passed away Monday, June 26, 2000 at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City, NC.


Mrs. Watson is survived by her husband Tracy Woodrow Watson, Sr.; three children Jane Dare Watson of Cedar Point, Catherine McRae Evans of Swansboro, and Tracy Woodrow Watson, Jr. of Cleveland, OH,; and three grandchildren Christa McRae Evans, Samuel Elliott Watson, and
Maxwell Taylor Watson.



Mrs. Watson and her husband, Tracy, were residents of Maxton, North Carolina and active members of St. Paul's United Methodist Church for over 60 years and raised their family there until moving to Cedar Point, North Carolina in
1998 to be with their daughters, Jane Dare and Catherine McRae. Mrs. Watson was the last surviving member of a very large Boysworth family, with ten sisters and four brothers.



In 1937 Mrs. Watson was graduated from Red Oak High School in Red Oak, NC and she went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1974 after
completing her training at Richmond Technical Community College of Rockingham, NC.



Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Watson are being directed by McDougald Funeral Home, 305 East Church Street, Laurinburg, NC. The visitation will be held Wednesday, June 28 from 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home.


The funeral will take place at St. Paul's United Methodist Church on Thursday, June 29 at 1pm with
a graveside service to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, also in Maxton, NC.



Mrs. Watson was the matriarch of a large, supportive family and devoted many years of service to her family, church, and community. She was loved by so very many and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
