Mrs. Myrtle Long, 79, died Monday August 25, 2003 at the home of her sister.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 am Wednesday, August 27, at the First United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Stan Smith and Rev. Nancy Willard. Burial will follow in McColl Cemetery, Bennettsville, SC.
She was born September 16, 1923 in Marlboro County, a daughter of the late James Chester and Melissa Spivey Long. She was retired from Southern Bell after 37 years of service as an operator and an investigator in Charlotte, NC.
She is survived by her sister Blanche L. Hudson of Laurinburg and her brother Jimmy Long of Columbia, SC.
Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 pm at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium in Laurinburg.
