Morris Grey Mitchell, 78, of Fork Street died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Morrison Manor.
A private memorial service will be held by the family.
He is survived by his sons, Morris Mitchell, Jr. of Laurel Hill, Michael Mitchell of Monroe, and Ronald Mitchell of Laurel Hill; his sister, Geraldine Powers of Parkton.
He was born December 7, 1933 in Alamance County, NC a son of the late Samuel Turner and Violet Marie Byerly Mitchell. He served in the US Army, and worked many years as a Sylvester operator for Phelps-Dodge before his retirement.
