Born on April 2, 1976, in Moore County, to Mitchell Lee and Betty Carol Smith Mauldin of Troy. Mitch was a man whose vibrant spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew him. Mitch spent his professional life as a valued team member at Kevin Teague Trucking, where he not only took pride in his work but also formed lasting friendships.
An affable and outgoing individual, Mitch was the epitome of a people person. He never met a stranger, and his ability to connect with others was truly extraordinary. His friends will recall his loyalty and willingness to lend a helping hand at a moment's notice. Mitch's absence will leave a void in the many lives he touched.
An avid outdoorsman, he cherished the tranquility of fishing and the thrill of the hunt. These moments in the great outdoors were times of reflection and peace for him.
Family was the cornerstone of Mitch's life, and he relished in the simple pleasures of being a father. Whether it was shooting pool with his sons or sharing stories of the day's adventures, Mitch was happiest when surrounded by his children. His love for his children was evident in every action and every sacrifice he made to ensure their happiness and well-being.
Mitch's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved and in the memories they hold dear. His laughter, his kindness, and his unwavering support are treasures that will never fade. As we say goodbye to a man who was so much to so many, we take comfort in knowing that Mitch's story is not one of an end, but a continuation in a place where there is no pain, only the joy he so richly deserves.
Mitch is survived by his wife, Vicky Kellis Mauldin; his sons, Mitchell "Mitch" Lee Mauldin, III (Kyndall Greene) of Troy, and Gavin Reid Mauldin, who brought immeasurable joy and pride to his life. He is also survived by his sister, Tanya Mauldin Eddins (Bobby) of Love Joy, who will cherish the memories of their shared childhood and the bond they nurtured throughout the years. Mitch was preceded in death by his brother, Rudy Mauldin, with whom he is now joyfully reunited. We got it from here “Baby Boy”.
