Miriam Jane Fields, 84, of 1105 Liza Lane died Monday, October 24, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center in Concord, N.C.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Noah Fields of the home; a daughter, Janis Fields of Laurinburg; a brother, Harold Kaampe of Wilmington; a granddaughter, Lisa Gibson (Freddie) of Laurinburg; three grandchildren, Chas Gibson, Laurin Gibson and Blake Gibson; and two great- great grandchildren, C.J. Gibson and Linleigh Gibson. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Sellers.
Miriam was born on October 24, 1927 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Harold and Hilda Kaampe. She was a secretary and homemaker and enjoyed every minute she had with her family and friends.
A memorial service to be announced at a later date.
McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium are serving the family.
