Mrs. Mildred Louise Gilmore Baxley Higginbothom, 72, of Country Mile Road died Monday March 6, 2006.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Jerry Smith. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
Born August 8, 1933 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Emory and Ethel Wiggins Gilmore.
She is survived by four daughters; Carol Jean Baxley Crawford and Linda Faye Baxley Powell of Fayetteville, NC, Betty Ann Baxley Reeves and Brenda Baxley Chinn of Laurel Hill; two sons, Randy Devon Baxley and Larry Allen Baxley of Columbia, SC; one brother Tommy Gilmore of Laurel Hill; 22 grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Higginbothom; a son, Thomas Devon Baxley, Jr.; three sisters, Annie Mae Chapman, Betty Lou McVicker and Shelby Jean McVicker; one brother, Billy Gilmore and a grandson, Larry Allen Baxley, Jr.
Visitation will be 7-9 PM Tuesday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
