Michael Shane Morton

Michael Shane Morton, age 55, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020 at his home.

At Mike’s request there will be no service.

Born October 21, 1964 in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Lacy Spencer Morton and Elizabeth Ann Lang Morton of the home.

He loved riding his Harley, his family, catfishing and was passionate about his work.  He was a diesel mechanic.

In addition to his mother, Mike is survived by two children: daughter, Rebecca Morton and son, Michael Lamonds, both of Troy; one grandson: Colton Lamonds of Troy; three sisters: Roxanne Carter of Apex, Donna Gay Beane of Biscoe and Jennifer Thompson of Troy; one brother: Chris Morton of Troy.  In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Lowder.
