Michael Earl McMahon, "Mr. Mac" of Laurel Hill, NC, passed away at his home at 2 am on Monday September 30, 2013.
He was born June 16, 1941, to Elmer Earl and Avalene (Goodnight) McMahon. Michael was a 1959 graduate of Marietta High School in Marietta, Ohio.
Michael was retired from a lifelong career in retail management.
On August 9, 1985, he married the love of his life, Peg McMahon, who preceded him in death.
Surviving family includes: his mother, his sister, Susan (Garry) Bonnette of Marietta, Ohio; children: AvaMichele (Kevin) Carpenter of Alliance, Ohio, Carol Leazer of Laurinburg, Gary (Theresa) Kaszowski, of Niles, Ohio, 3 nieces: Maureen Missory of Laurel Hill, Andrea Bonnette, and Amy (Mark) Beardmore of Marietta, Ohio. Grandchildren: Adam (Sara) McMahon, Kaela Masen, Carolyn Kaszowski, Nicholas Leazer, and Shannon Leazer; Great-grandchildren: Alexis and Jaden, Alexis and Evan.
Visitation will be held at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium on Thursday October 3 from 11 am - 1 pm. A prayer will follow.
