Born May 15, 1956 in Randolph County, he is a son of Jerry Douglas Dickinson of Asheboro and the late Diana Williamson Dickinson. Mike was a member of the Asheboro Fire Department for 19 years, a member of the Ulah Fire Department, and he was a Boy Scout and Eagle Scout. He enjoyed spending time at the beach with his family and going to Disney World. He never met a stranger, and always had a smile on his face, and put others before himself.
