Michael Joseph Back

Michael Joseph Back, 62 of Candor, died Monday, April 23, 2018 at his home.

A memorial service by the family will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Rocky Creek Cowboy Fellowship in Mt. Gilead, officiated by Pastor Tony Sedberry. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Born January 20, 1956 in Sumter County, SC, he was a son of William Albert Back and the late Hilda Kelly Back. He worked as a machine shop supervisor for Grede Foundry. Michael was artistic and loved to fish.

He is survived by his wife of eight years, Teresa Elaine Ott Back of the home; daughter, Tiffany Ickes of Battle Creek, MI; stepdaughter, Sherry Lynn Thornburg of Indian Trail; stepson, Claude Harvey Elliott Jr. of Belmont, NC; two sisters, Marlynn Castner of MI and Cindy Ogle of FL; stepbrother, Rick Back of Battle Creek, MI; two grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
