Melba Faye Smith Bogdon, 61, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Morrison Manor.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Coye Bogdon; her sons, Harvey Norton (Amanda) of Rockingham and Larry W. Norton, Jr. (Delisa) of Wallace, SC; her daughter, Amanda Faye Godwin (Bradford) of Parkton; her brother, David Smith of Wagram; her sisters, Martha Thrower of Wagram and Naomi Smith of Gibson; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Born July 16, 1952 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Alexander David and Mary Geneva Williams Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald Ray Smith and Donald Smith.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
