Mrs. Maude McInnis Teal, 81 of 5041 Main Street died Sunday, February 20, at Duke Medical Center in Durham.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Gibson United Methodist Church with Rev. Harold Salmon officiating. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.
Born January 30, 1919 in Marlboro County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse B. and Mattie Adams Herndon. She was a retired US Postal Service Clerk and a member of the Gibson United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Richard J. and Dannie McInnis of Laurinburg, two daughters and sons-in-law; Angie M. and Ken Haney and Madeline M. and Shuler Peele all of Gibson, two brothers; Gordon M. Herndon of Hartsville, SC and Glenn A. Herndon of Baraboo, WI, three sisters; Marguerite Rudolph of Laurinburg, Marcella Steele of Bennettsville, SC and Julia Thompson of Cheraw, SC, eight grandchildren; Gibby and Chris Peele of Laurel Hill, Susan Peele of Hamlet, Ken Haney of Clayton, Cathy Haney of Charlotte, Jonathan and Daniel McInnis of Laurinburg and Brandon McInnis of Raleigh, eight great grandchildren; Jillian and Calla Hayes, Gib Peele, Krystal Armentrout, Andrea Peele, Emily and Joshua Peele and Cobe Haney.
The family will be receiving friends from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday at McDougald Funeral Home in Laurel Hill.
