Mrs. Mary Redwine Wentz, 77, of 407 Bundy Lane died Thursday, December 7.
A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Jerry Lowry and Nancy Willard.
She is survived by her husband, Charles J. Wentz; three sons, Charles Wentz, Jr. of Laurinburg, Terry Wentz of Warner Robins, GA, and Jerry Wentz of Raleigh; two brothers, Erskine Redwine of Monroe and Tommy Redwine of Waxhaw; a sister Doris Ennis of Indian Trail; 8 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia Wentz Ficklin.
She was born May 29, 1923 in Waxhaw and was a daughter of the late Henry W. and Lillie Boatright Redwine.
An active community volunteer, Mary was a past president and treasurer of the Scotch Gardeners and a volunteer for the Red Cross Bloodmobile.
