Mrs. Mary Lorena Norton Thompson, 95, died Friday, July 25, 2008.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Caledonia Cemetery. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. at Scotia Village officiated by the Revs. Ralph Brown and Patricia Stone. Visitation will follow the memorial service.
She is survived by three sons, James F. "Jim" Thompson, Jr. and wife, Lulla of Laurinburg; Donald H. "Don" Thompson and wife, Nell of Morehead City, and David R. Thompson and wife, Carol of Saluda; grandchildren, Susan Kuller of Raleigh, Ashley Thompson of Midlothian, VA, and Alison Nicole Thompson of Greenville; great grandchildren, James Kuller, Sara Kuller, Isabel Kuller, Maxwell Kuller, and John Eisenhower.
Born December 10, 1912 in Scotland County, Mary was a daughter of the late Lafayette and Iola Reynolds Norton and widow of the late James F. Thompson. She was a retired dietician for Scotland Memorial Hospital and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
