Mary Spencer Williams

Mary Spencer Williams, 94, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Morrison Manor.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Wayne Wike. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
Born on November 14, 1922 in Richmond County, she was a daughter of the late Walter J. and Willie Brigman Spencer. She was employed with and retired as a bookkeeper with Quality Parts and Equipments Co. in Laurinburg. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Williams of Laurinburg; her son, Doug Williams (Karen) of Vance County; a brother, Lindo Spencer of Tarboro; granddaughter, Amanda Swensen (Jason) of Garner; grandson, Luke Williams (Melissa Jones); and three great grandchildren, Everleigh Swensen, Cora Swensen and Lincoln Swensen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Williams; brothers, Jesse Spencer and Robert L. Spencer; and sister, Edith Gibson.
