Mary Peters

Mary Elizabeth Carey Peters, age 63, passed away June 11, 2020 at her home.

A memorial service will be Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 4 pm at the residence of Norm and Evelyn Compton, 199 Shiloh Rd., Troy.

Born April 21, 1957 in Canandaigua, New York, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Betty J. Carey.  She was a retired employee of Southern Correctional Institute.  She loved camping, feeding her deer, spending time with her family and friends, doing crafts and her fur babies.

She is survived by a son, Garry A. (Aimee) Compton of Yulee, FL; daughter, Dawn (Vinnie) Lewis of Indiana; two brothers, Mark (Teresa) Carey and  Martin (Shelly) Carey, both of Canandaigua, NY; two sisters, Dawn (Lewis) Carrera of Jacksonville, FL, Kelly (Bill) Gebo of Manchester, NY; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin and close friends and her fur babies.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by infant son, Robert Carey.
