Mrs. Mary Lee Peele Quick, 92, formerly of Woodlawn Drive died Wednesday, February 16, at Scotia Village where she had been a resident since Nov. 4, 1992.


Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Faith Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jim Bumgardner, Rev. Quinton Covington and Rev. Kenneth Blease officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.


Born November 28, 1907 in Scotland County, a daughter of the late Lawrence Everette and Celia Jane Norton Peele, wife of the late N. W. Quick, Sr., she was preceded in death by one son; Vernon Quick, three brothers; Woodrow, Roy and Vester Peele, two sisters; Mattie McRae and Annie Mae Herndon. She was retired from Springs Industries of Wagram and a member of Faith Presbyterian Church.


She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; N. W. and Carol Sue Quick of Laurinburg, one daughter and son-in-law; Katherine Q. and Burnie Evans of Laurinburg, one sister; Marjorie Dixon of Hamlet, one brother; Everette Peele of Laurinburg, five grandchildren; Cathy E. Stuckey and husband Mike of Knightdale, Debbie Quick and husband Johnny, Norman Quick and wife Carol all of Laurinburg, Marcus Quick of Gaffney, SC and Victoria Quick of Deltona, FL, two step-grandchildren; Bryant and Tiffany Wright both of Laurinburg, four great-grandchildren; Amy, Wesley, Matt and Megan Quick.


The family will be receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
