Miss Mary Gilbert McKenzie, 88, died Sunday, November 21, at Scotia Village.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Gibson United Methodist Church with Rev. Harold Salmon officiating. Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery.
Born December 9, 1910 in Scotland County, she was the daughter of the late W. N. and Nolie McEachern McKenzie. She is preceded in death by two sisters; Margaret McKenzie and Eleanor M. Woodall, two brothers; William N. McKenzie, Jr. and James R. McKenzie.
She was retired from the U. S. Dept. of Agriculture, a member of the Gibson Book Club, Laurinburg Pilot Club and a member and past treasurer of the Gibson United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three nieces; Anne S. McKenzie of Pinehurst, Victoria M. Armes of Laurinburg and Barbara M. Scott of Greensboro, one sister-in-law; Anne Shuford McBryde of Gibson, three great nieces; Lawson W. Armes and Margaret S. Clinton of Charlotte, and Katharine Scott of Asheville, one great nephew; J. Martin Armes, III of Raleigh.
