Mary Darlene (Kearns) Blake

Mary Darlene Kearns Blake 63, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020 at her home.

Due to restrictions provided by the State of North Carolina regarding gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Robert Stewart.

Born July 29, 1956 in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Ann Harrison Kearns. She worked in the fast food industry.  She loved Gospel music and watching home decorating shows on television.

She is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Gary Blake of the home; one daughter, Sonia B. Castle of Mt. Gilead; one son, Daniel Blake of the home; two sisters, Cynthia Honeycutt of Albemarle and Teresa Morton of Troy; and three grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Kearns and one sister, Sue Clay.
