Mary "Porky" Frances Scott

Mary “Porky” Frances Scott, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the age of 73, at Regency Hospital in Florence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel, officiated by Rev. Opie Swails.   Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.

Born on September 3, 1950 in Robeson County, she was the daughter of the late James Allen and Mary Margaret Stevens Scott.

Mary worked thirty years at Toastmaster and five years in customer service where she enjoyed talking with people. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.  In addition to her love for her family, she had a fun loving personality that people were attracted to.  She also enjoyed the mountains, flea markets and John Wayne. Mary is survived by her daughter, Jamie Lynn Scott (Bryant Yanick) of the home; her son, James “Buddy” (Dawn) of Wagram; grandchildren, Brandon Holcomb, Bradley “Root” Scott, Madi Scott, Braydon Yanick, Trey Gause, and Austin Gause; great grandchildren, Anslee Smith and Heaven Gilchrist. The family will receive friends Monday, June 24, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium.
