Mary Putnam Eckblad

Mrs. Mary Putnam Eckblad, 89, of Scotia Village died Sunday, August 6, at Scotia Village.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Laurinburg Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Elizabeth Forester. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. John Eckblad and his wife, Susie of Chapel Hill, and Stuart 'Jim' Eckblad and his wife, Joyce of San Francisco, CA; five grandchildren, Ben, Joshua, Vanina, Zander, and Kendra Nicole and three step-grandchildren, Christopher, Megan, and Sarah.

Born March 28, 1911, she was the widow of the late Alvin Warner Eckblad.

Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Argyll Room, Scotia Village.
