Mary Watkins Dunn Phillips

Mrs. Mary Watkins Dunn Phillips, 72, of Scotia Village died Sunday, February 3, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church officiated by the Revs. Nick Mager and Elizabeth Forester. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Jean Coffield and husband, Mac of Cornelius and Phyllis Leviner and husband, Lindsay of Laurinburg; two brothers, Alex Watkins of Rockingham and John Watkins of Greensboro; three sisters, Sara Forster of Augusta, GA, Dot Cole of Carthage, and Ludean Ziegler of Florence, SC; two grandsons, Neil Coffield of Durham and Brad Coffield of Lewisville.
July 18, 1929 in Richmond County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Nona and Anna Mae Porter Watkins. She retired as chief operator with Southern Bell after 30 years. Mary was also a past President of the Central Club Telephone Pioneers of America and the Scotland County Extension Homemakers.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Scotia Village.
