Mary Elizabeth Coleman Ward

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Coleman Ward, 69, of 1001 Elizabeth Drive died Friday, November 12, at her residence.

Funeral services were held on Sunday at 3:00 PM in McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel with Rev. Alexander "Sandy" Williams officiating. Burial was in Hillside Memorial Park.

Born May 11, 1930, in Chadbourne, NC she was the daughter of the late T.C. and Clyde Williamson Coleman. A former member of the First Baptist Church, Mrs. Ward was a meat wrapper with the Atlantic and Pacific and the Colonial Grocery Stores.

Survivors include her husband, Herman Ward of the home; a son, Michael Lee Ward of Laurinburg; two daughters, Wanda Ward Clark and husband Tommy of Laurinburg and Sherry Ward Meeks of Laurinburg; a brother, George W. "Top" Coleman of Chadbourne. Five grandchildren also survive her; Tammy Clark, Laura Clark, Victor Meeks, Samantha Meeks and Miranda Baxley.

The family received friends from 7 to 9 PM Saturday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
