Martin Vernon Chavis, 69, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Oak Grove Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Earl Henderson. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
He is survived by three sons, Martin Vernon Chavis, Jr. (Rebecca) and Martin Kenneth Chavis (Ashley) of Maxton and Terry "Ogie"A
