Martha Shelton Palmer, 92, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, at Saturday at Scotia Village.
She is survived by her son, William H. Palmer of Lancaster, PA; her daughters, Carolyn Shaffer and Gayle Geoghegan of Pinehurst; her sister, Vivian Balester of Cleveland, OH; 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Palmer and her brother, Marvin W. Shelton, Jr.
Born September 1, 1922 in Memphis, TN, she was a daughter of the late Marvin W. and Mary Burke Shelton. She spend many years as an administrator for Southwestern Bell, and later as a receptionist at Scotia Village.
Memorials are requested for the Scotia Village Foundation, 2200 Elm Ave., Laurinburg, NC 28352.
