Mark Edward McKenzie, 54, formerly of Laurinburg died October 4, 2013 in Waipahu, HI.
A memorial service was held November 14 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Hawaii.
He is survived by his brother, David McKenzie (Sheila) of Laurinburg; his nephews, Scott and Drew McKenzie, and his niece, Jessica McKenzie; two great nieces, Gabriella and Clara.
Born October 2, 1959 in Pinehurst, he was a son of the late Ted and Clara McKenzie. He was a 1977 graduate of Scotland High School and a 1982 graduate of PSU. He joined the US Air Force in 1983 and retired in 2005.
Mark loved Hawaii, genealogy, snorkeling, traveling, photography, Lynyrd Skynyrd, history, was an avid reader, and loved sharing photos on Facebook. He had a great sense of humor, was easy going, and a friend to all.
