Mr. Marion Council Todd, 63, of 4838 Transou Road died Wednesday, November 30, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Center, Winston Salem, NC.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel in Laurinburg. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Geneva Beck Todd of Jacksonville, NC; two brothers, Bill Todd and Bobby Todd of Winston Salem; three sisters, Bettie Bacott of Rockfish, NC, Lynda Sue Morton and Merry Kay Pierson of Jacksonville, NC.
Mr. Todd was born February 22, 1942 in Mecklenburg County, NC and was a son of the late Arthur C. Todd. He was an officer and share-holder of Todd Controls Corporation along with his brother, Bill Todd. He held a national officer position with the Plott Hound Association with which he had been affiliated for over 30 years. Mr. Todd was also a breeder of Plott Hounds, which is recognized as the North Carolina Dog and had shipped these dogs to various places all over the world. He also enjoyed hunting and trout fishing in the North Carolina mountains.
