Ms. Marie Patterson, 76, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 after her illness, at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center, San Pedro, CA.
A funeral service will be Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Garland Pierce. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour, prior to the service.
Born August 31, 1940, in Robeson County, but raised in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Elsie Patterson. She attended school in Scotland County, was a graduate of Lincoln Height in 1959, and attended business school in Durham, NC.
Marie lived in New York for a few years, and then moved to California where she lived for almost forty years. She worked many years as a secretary for Coast Appliance Parts and Supply in Gardena, CA.
She is survived by her sister, Minnie Deloris Henegan of Laurinburg; her nephew, Shawn; one grandnephew, Kendell Deberry; many cousins and her dear friend, Mildred Fondon of CA.
