Mrs. Marie Gibson Bell, 91, died Friday, November 27, 2009 at Morrison Manor.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 4, at Trinity Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Tom Dendy, Dr. Rodger Decker, and Dr. Bill Roland. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by a son, Larry Lamar Bell of Old Fort; a daughter, Sharol Elizabeth Bell of Rutherfordton; a brother, J. D. Gibson of Laurinburg; a sister Linell "Nell" Robinson of Wilmington; 3 grandchildren, Steven Larry Bell of Rutherfordton, Terri grant of Marion, and Jerry Toney of Oland.
Born December 9, 1917 in Gibson, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Josephine "Josie" Liles Gibson and widow of the late Lamar S. Bell. She served many years as a secretary in the textile industry. Marie was devoted to her church and her family.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Thursday, December 3, at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
