Margaret Susanna "Peggy Sue" Newton Ingle, 62, died Monday, July 26, at Morrison Manor.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Old Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church officiated by the Revs. Decherd Guess, Dudley Crawford, and Howard Whitehurst. Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
Peggy is survived by her husband William W. "Bill" Ingle; a son, Walter Ingle and wife Sandra Swayze of Lexington, KY, two daughters, Susan Mills of San Antonio, TX and Chrissie Koroivui and husband Mesulame of Durham; two brothers, Calvin Newton and wife, Beth and Whit Newton and wife, Shannon of Wagram; two sisters, Isabella Finkelstein of Atlanta, GA and Cathy Ann Newton and husband, Craig Dunlap of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Reagan Mills, Emma Campos, Jacob Campos, and Chloe Campos of San Antonio, TX, and Diama Koroivui of Durham. She was preceded in death by a twin sister, a brother, Ira Ray Newton, and a grandson, Ethan Reagan Mills.
Born April 16, 1948 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late H. C. "Bill" Newton and Mary Gillis Newton. Peggy was a Teacher Assistant at Lloyd Auman Elementary School in Fayetteville, She was also an Elder at Reilly Road Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville and a Deacon at Old Laurel Hill Presbyterian Church. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed basket weaving, reading murder mysteries, crossword puzzles, and working with children.
