Margaret Ellen Pate, 73, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
A graveside service will be 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Hillside Memorial Park in Laurinburg.
She is survived by her children, Lesa Pate Huff (Martin) of Pinehurst, N.C., Tena Pate Simmons (Terry) of Laurinburg, Ralph Eugene Byrd of Southern Pines, N.C., Roger Pate (Sheila) of Laurinburg, Janice Pate Jones (Billy) of Laurinburg; and her grandchildren, Megan Huff, Tanner Huff, Josh Phillips, William Owens, James Owens, Dawn Bennett, Jessica Wood, Kayla Pate, Kristen Holmes, Justin Dean, Parker Zins, Corey Byrd, and Julie Locklear. She is preceded in death by her husband George Pate and daughter Susan Pate Zins.
Born March 13, 1943 in Dillon County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Jasper and Letha Deans Barrentine.
