Mrs. Margaret Louise Deaton Scott, 74, of Sheffield Circle died Tuesday, January 29 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Dale Deese. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
She is survived by two sons, Ken Sheffield and wife, Sun-ye of Wagram, James Sheffield and wife, Clara of Maxton; daughter, Lois Ann Britton of Wagram; brother, Joseph "Jody" Deaton and wife, Betty Lou of Bear, DE; sisters, Betty Lou Bartlett and husband, Kenneth of Marion, IA, and Cornelia Ann Cosey of Laurel Hill; and five grandchildren.
Born March 14, 1933 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Henry M. and Louise Mumford Deaton. She was a retired textile employee and opened and operated POHOJA Security and a mobile home park. Margaret was a very kind hearted person and more than willing to help anyone who was in need. She had a desire for everyone to be consistent in establishing a foundation in life.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
