Mrs. Margaret Zaden Anthony, 82, of 901 West Church Street, Laurinburg died Tuesday evening, October 2, at her home.
A Mass of Resurection will be held 11:00am Friday October 5, 2001 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Robert Diegelman, Father Robert Lawson and Father Joe Thomas officiating. Pallbearers: Pete and Jeffery Anthony, Phillip and David Ward, Marty Joseph and John Anthony. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Burtis Pete Anthony, sons, Thomas Anthony of Greenville, NC and Joseph Anthony and wife Ivy of Durham, NC., daughters, Mary Margaret Board and Theresa Anthony both of Charlotte and Kitty A. Yucha and husband Paul of Tampa, Fla., a daughter-in-law, Marguerite Anthony of Greenville, ,NC., her brothers, Dr. Joseph M. Zaden and wife Marion of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., her sisters, Kitty Verciglio and husband Norman of Birmingham, Ala., Deloris (Dee) Joseph also of Birmingham, sister-in-law, Helen Zaden of Birmingham. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Born February 21, 1919 in Birmingham, AL. She was a daughter of the late George Maroon and Mary Gideon Zaden. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the St. Mary Ladies Auxiliary, she owned and operated Margareta
