Lula M. McRae, 90, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Morrison Manor.
A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Centre Presbyterian Church in Maxton, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Robert Dendy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born June 21, 1927 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Aura Sherouse McLean. She was a recipient of Lifetime Membership at Centre Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary M. Beeker (Jerry) of Raleigh and Nancy McBryde (Steve) of Maxton; grandchildren, Bill Thompson (Candice) of Tallahassee, FL, Carol Thompson of Charlotte, John McRae McBryde (Kristin) of Raleigh, and Thomas Beeker of Raleigh; five great grandchildren and her sister, Mary McLean Poole and her family of Greensboro, NC. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60+ years, Wilbur McRae and her son Wilbur McRae Jr.
A visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
