Mrs. Lucille Shaw Gibson, 85, formerly of Laurel Hill died Friday, August 3, at Sunbridge Nursing Home in Pembroke.

Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the McDougald Funeral Home in Laurel Hill officiated by the Revs. Keith and Frances Brown. Burial followed in Hillside Memorial Park with Denny Staples, Jerry Pearson, Ricky Pearson, Vance Pearson, Chris Pearson, and Mike Ingram serving as pallbearers.

She is survived by a daughter, Jackie G. Ray and her husband, Billy of Laurinburg; a brother, Russell Shaw of Raleigh; three sisters, Faye Staples of Charlotte, Elizabeth Pearson and her husband, James of Laurel Hill; and Betty Sue Grissom of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Garry Ray of Covington, GA and Jill Ray and her husband, Clark of Rock Hill, SC; three great grandchildren; Matthew Hale, Nicholas Hale, and Olivia Hale of Rock Hill, SC.

Born October 21, 1915 in Bladen County, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Susie Sellers Shaw and widow of the late E. Hudson Gibson. She was a retired sales clerk in the mena
